Membership
Real ownership, shared sensibly.
Air Tech Flying Club is an equity club: 7 members co-own N63PV. You get the access and pride of ownership while the costs — and the responsibilities — are shared.
How it works
Buy a share
Membership is equity-based: you purchase one of seven shares and become a part-owner of the aircraft and the club.
Cover fixed costs together
Monthly dues spread the predictable costs — insurance, tie-down/hangar, subscriptions, and reserves — across all members.
Pay for what you fly
A transparent hourly (wet) rate covers fuel and an engine/maintenance reserve, so the airplane pays for its own upkeep.
Book and go
Reserve the aircraft online through our scheduling system. With seven members, availability is genuinely good.
What it costs
How costs break down
Membership has three parts: a one-time buy-in for your share, monthly dues that cover the club's fixed costs, and a wet hourly rate for the flying you do. We share the current figures with prospective members directly — reach out and we'll walk you through them.
Dues and rates are reviewed by the membership and set to keep the aircraft well-maintained and properly reserved — not to turn a profit.
Questions, answered
What experience do I need?
A private certificate at minimum. The Saratoga is a complex, high-performance airplane, so a logbook endorsement and an insurance checkout are required — we will walk you through both. In practice, every current member is instrument-rated, and we value IFR proficiency for the cross-country flying we do.
How does insurance work?
The aircraft is insured under a club policy, and the cost is part of the monthly dues. New members complete a checkout that satisfies the policy’s pilot requirements before flying as pilot in command.
How is scheduling handled?
We use an online reservation system so you can see availability and book in seconds. Members sign in via the “Member login” link. (Today that points to www.aircraftclubs.com.)
How is maintenance managed?
The airplane is maintained on a regular schedule with annual and 100-hour inspections, plus the usual recurring items. Squawks are tracked and addressed promptly so the aircraft stays dispatchable.
Can I take it for multi-day trips?
Yes — overnight and multi-day trips are part of the point of owning a capable cross-country airplane. We coordinate longer reservations through the booking system so the schedule stays fair to everyone.
How do I join?
Shares open up occasionally and we keep the club small on purpose. Reach out through the contact page and we’ll let you know where things stand and arrange a time to meet the airplane.
Think it might be a fit?
Tell us a little about your flying. No pressure, no sales pitch — just a conversation.
